Why I ended up loving today:

1. A woman didn’t want her free macs ice cream cone that came with her nuggets (Singapore ran out of curry sauce again, so macs was trying to appease us) so they gave it to the nearest small girl i.e. yours truly

2. Colleague in office didn’t want her subway chocolate chip macadamia cookies so she gave it to the nearest greedy pig i.e. yours truly

3. Realisation that even when I have to eat dinner by myself due to work, I’ll never actually be alone (Shivam, Grace & the BRWM whatsapp group - this is for you)

4. Bros are forever (“I’m always here for my fenster”)

5. My supervisor is awesomesauce for inviting me to dinner with her friends when she knew I was alone and making me a rose from a napkin

6. Getting proposed to by the Butter bouncer

7. Being able to be a translator for the malay and chinese cleaners working together

8. Making new friends within the Butter family

9. And of course… coming home to chocolate cupcakes, 2 roses and a princess balloon from my darling Sarah (thank you to the best sister in the world for helping her to bring them into the house)

Today was definitely emotionally draining due to the lack of care from the one person I was hoping so so much to get some love from.  It bogged me down for the whole day and sapped me of all my energy.  However when I came home to Sarah’s surprise, I promptly burst into tears because it hit me in the face: I don’t need his love, I am loved by so many other people.

And for that, I am so grateful for.

Fuck going to sleep crying, I’m going to sleep with the widest grin plastered to my face because I feel so incredibly loved.
